Ingredients

  • 750g oven chips (frozen)
  • 250g lean beef mince (or turkey mince for a lighter option)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato purée
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • 50ml beef stock
  • 100g grated cheddar cheese
  • 75g grated mozzarella
  • 30g grated Parmesan
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil, to garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C. Add the frozen chips to the basket and air fry for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crispy.
  2. Meanwhile, heat a non-stick pan on medium heat. Brown the mince for 3–4 minutes, then add the onion and garlic. Cook for another 3 minutes. Stir in chopped tomatoes, tomato purée, herbs, and beef stock. Simmer for 8–10 minutes until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the chips are ready, spread them evenly in the air fryer tray or an oven-safe dish that fits your air fryer. Top with the lasagne mince mixture, cheese, mozzarella, and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
  4. Return to the air fryer at 180°C for 3–5 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles. Garnish with fresh basil if you like and dig in!
