Ingredients
- 1 cup apple juice ((250ml), fresh, not concentrated)
- 2 tbsp agar agar powder (not flakes)
- 2 tsp ginger ( fresh if possible (minced))
- โ tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp sea moss gel (see notes for the recipe)
- 1-2 tbsp agave nectar (or can use maple syrup, coconut nectar)
Method
- Pour the apple juice into a small saucepan together with the agar agar powder, ginger and cinnamon then proceed to whisk until everything is evenly combined.
- Stir in the sea moss gel and agave nectar.
- Switch on the stove on low-medium heat, start to whisk briskly and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer (DO NOT BOIL), you may notice a few lumps from the sea moss gel which will start to dissolve as you continue to whisk.
- Continue to whisk until it starts to turn into a slightly thick-ish mixture, but not too thick as it will thicken as it cools down. (very important, in order for the gummies to set).
- Have your gummy mould ready and use the dropper (or a very small teaspoon) to drop some of the mixture into the mould (work quickly as it sets fast).
- Place the mould in the refrigerator for up to an hour until the gummies are firm to the touch.
- Push the mould forward/upwards to release the gummies.
- Keep the gummies in a jar, refrigerated and eat at your leisure!
