Ingredients

  • 3-4 oz sea moss ((100g))
  • 4-6 cups filtered water (or more as/if needed)

Method

  1. Use a colander to thoroughly wash the sea moss (use your hands to rid the debris) in cold water.
  2. Place the sea moss in a large bowl then pour enough water to cover the sea moss.
  3. Allow the raw sea moss to soak in water for several hours or overnight (during this time the sea moss will expand).
  4. The following day you need to remove the sea moss from the water (you can use a slotted spoon or tongs to do so) then add the sea moss to a blender.
  5. Pour some water into the blender along with the sea moss, start with about 1-2 cups (you can use the same water or fresh water if you want to) and add more if needed.
  6. Blitz the sea moss into a smooth jelly/gel consistency.
  7. Transfer the blended gel into an airtight container and refrigerate.Use accordingly.
