Ingredients

  • 80g butter
  • 70g honey
  • 180g oats
  • 50g mixed seeds
  • 30g sugar
  • 100g frozen strawberries

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180c fan and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in the microwave and add it to a large bowl with the honey, oats, seeds and sugar.
  3. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
  4. Slice the frozen strawberries into small pieces and stir these into the mixtures.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the lined dish. Spread it evenly throughout the dish and press down hard with the back of a spoon to make it as compact as possible.
  6. Bake in the oven for 23 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, allow to cool in the dish for about 10 minutes. Then transfer the dish to the fridge or freeze for about 30 minutes.
  8. This step is really important to ensure that the bars firm up.
  9. Cut into 16 squares.
