Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs (excess fat trimmed)
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup BBQ sauce (divided)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine chicken thighs with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and ½ cup of BBQ sauce. Mix to combine so the chicken is evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the seasoned chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven, flip the chicken and brush with the remaining BBQ sauce. Return to the oven and bake for 10 more minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Once done, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
