Ingredients
- 6 chicken drumsticks ((about 2 pounds/900 g))
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or olive oil)
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder ((use less for a milder version))
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 5 minutes. While it heats, put the drumsticks in a bowl, drizzle with the oil, add the seasonings, and turn to coat well.
- Arrange the drumsticks in the basket in a single layer, not touching. If they don't all fit, cook them in two batches.
- Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the thickest part of a drumstick reads 175°F to 185°F (79°C to 85°C) on an instant-read thermometer, away from the bone.
